Why Custom Matters
Store-bought guards are made to fit anyone — which means they fit no one particularly well. They're often bulky, hard to breathe through, and uncomfortable enough that people stop wearing them. A custom-fitted guard is made from an impression of your own teeth, so it fits precisely, stays in place, and is comfortable enough to actually use.
Sports Guards
A sports guard protects your teeth, lips, and jaw from impact during contact sports. Whether you're playing hockey, rugby, soccer, martial arts, or any activity where a blow to the face is possible, a custom guard offers significantly better protection than an off-the-shelf option.
Night Guards
If you grind or clench your teeth at night — a condition called bruxism — a custom night guard creates a barrier between your upper and lower teeth. This protects the enamel from wear, reduces jaw muscle tension, and can help with headaches and jaw soreness associated with grinding. Signs you may be grinding include waking up with a sore jaw, headaches in the morning, worn or flattened teeth, or a partner telling you they hear grinding during the night.
What to Expect
We take an impression or a scan of your teeth and send it to a dental lab where your guard is fabricated to fit precisely. No messy impression material or gagging on big trays for most people! Most guards are ready within one to two weeks.
